The following persons shall be eligible for enrollment in the Retiree Health Care Program of the Conference, provided that:
Enrollment is completed in accordance with any "new eligibility" provisions of the plan
Any proof of insurability requirements are met
Any required premium payments are remitted in a timely manner
Elders, Deacons and Associate Conference Members, who have been granted the retired relationship from this Conference, provided that they are receiving a pension from the United Methodist Church
Those recognized by Conference Action as Retired Local Pastors, provided that they are receiving a pension from the Church, and provided that they served under Episcopal appointment for not less than five consecutive years immediately preceding their recognition as a Retired Local Pastor.
Those recognized by by Conference employing agencies as Retired Lay Employees, provded that they are receiving an employer-paid pension from the Church, full-time for not less than five consecutive years immediately preceding their recognition as a Retired Lay Employee.
Retiring full time lay employees of Conference related agencies may become eligible for enrollment by specific approval of the Conference Board of Pensions. In such cases, the employing agency shall be responsible for remittance of the full cost of any such coverage elected.
Surviving spouses and surviving dependents of enrollees who retired or died while members of this Conference, provided that the survivors were enrolled as dependents in the Conference health care program at the time of the enrollee's death.
All Diaconal Ministers consecrated by or received by transfer intho this Annual Conference who:
Are 65 years of age or older
Have remained employed within the bounds of this Conference until the time of their retirement,
For all such eligible Diaconal Minsters, the subscriber shall be responsible for remitting the full cost of the coverage
Persons who marry participants after the participants retirement are eligible for for enrollment in this plan. The subscriber shall be responsible for the full cost of the spouse's coverage.
